Abstracta Air-X
A playful acoustic room divider.
Design by: Stefan Borselius
In 2006, Abstracta launched a whole new perspective on acoustic room dividers together with Stefan Borselius – the Air concept. The new Air-X shows that the concept is just as vital many years later.
Taking inspiration from both geometry in nature, the Air concept has given us acoustic room dividers in the shape of flowers, snowflakes, leaves and abstract figures. With Air-X, Stefan Borselius enters a world of symbols, typography, and letters.
Made of fabric-covered moulded fibre felt, it absorbs sound and prevents echoes. The x-shaped modules are assembled together to form ‘open’ screens that shape or suggest new spaces within a space, while allowing light to pass through unobstructed.
- Transparent space divider
- Versatile installation
- Wide array of colours and patterns
The Air-X modules are made of moulded felt covered in fabric, providing excellent noise absorption and echo cancellation. Air-X is the product with the best sound absorption properties in the Air series.
