What is the difference between indoor and window digital signage displays?
Indoor digital signage is designed for interior environments with standard lighting, while window displays can be built with high-brightness screens to remain visible in direct sunlight through windows. Window displays also often include anti-glare and heat-resistant features.
Do window digital displays work well in direct sunlight?
Yes, window digital signage displays are specifically engineered for high-brightness (often 2500–4000 nits or more), ensuring clear visibility even in strong sunlight. They often include features like automatic brightness adjustment and cooling systems.
Can I use an indoor display in a shop window?
It’s not often recommended. Indoor displays typically lack the brightness and heat resistance needed for window applications. Using them in shop windows exposed to sunlight may lead to poor visibility, overheating or even permanent screen damage.
What content can I show on indoor and window digital signage?
You can display a wide range of content including videos, images, promotions, social media feeds, menus and real-time data. Most systems support remote content management and scheduling for targeted messaging.
Are these displays easy to update and manage remotely?
Yes, most digital signage systems come with cloud-based software that allows you to update and schedule content remotely. This is especially useful for managing multiple displays across different locations from a central dashboard.
